Targeting higher returns with lower risk
The Global Financial Crisis in 2008 led many investors to re-examine some of the key assumptions that lie at the heart of their portfolios. Modern Portfolio Theory is highly compromised by the many assumptions it makes about risk premiums, volatility, correlations and investor/market behaviour. And the belief that Strategic Asset Allocation can sufficiently control systematic (or market) risk simply through diversification is flawed. Our Global Dynamic Asset Allocation strategy and the techniques we use in multi-asset portfolio construction deal specifically with the weaknesses in MPT and assist us in our aim to provide superior risk adjusted returns to our clients
